Description	:	HICKSVILLE - Paul R. Silvers, 80, of Hicksville, died Thursday, March 2, 2006, at Park View Nursing Center, Edgerton. Born March 30, 1925, at Hicksville, to Alta (Hook) and John Silvers, he married Mary Toth on March 5, 1945, and she survives. A 1943 graduate of Hicksville High School, he served in the United States during World War II, receiving the Purple Heart. He retired from The Aro Corporation in Bryan and was a member of DAV (Disabled American Veterans), the VFW of Hicksville and Purple Heart Club of Defiance. Silvers, 80, of Hicksville, died Thursday, March 2, 2006, at Park View Nursing Center, Edgerton. Born March 30, 1925, at Hicksville, to Alta (Hook) and John Silvers, he married Mary Toth on March 5, 1945, and she survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Michael P. (and wife, Phyllis) of Fort Wayne, Ind., Richard of Hicksville and Tom (Kelly) of Bryan; a daughter, Mrs. Terry (Deborah) Helvie of Fort Wayne, Ind.; five grandchildren; and a brother, Jack of Nappanee, Ind. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon and 1-2 p.m. in the Smith & Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Home Cemetery, Hicksville, with military honors by the Hicksville American Legion Post 223.
