Description	:	He was the son of the late Cyrus Nelson and Valesca Sedonia (Paulie) Sanders. He died on Monday, 23 Feb 1998, at the Memorial Hospital in Cumberland, Allegany, Maryland. He was a resident of LaVale, Allegany, Maryland, and formerly of Oakland, Garrett, Maryland. He was eighty-five at the time of this death. He was a resident of LaVale, Allegany, Maryland, and formerly of Oakland, Garrett, Maryland. He was eighty-five at the time of this death. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Sanders owned and operated a Gulf service station and convenience store in Ellerslie, Allegany, Maryland for thirty years. He was a member of Ohr Lodge 131 AF & AM; Cumberland Consistory Scottish Rite; and Ali Ghan Temple and was the last living charter member of the Provost Guard. At the time of his death he was survived by his wife, Mary (Reckart) Sanders; two sons, two brothers, both of Oakland; two sisters, both of Loudon County Tennessee, four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Service was conducted at 11AM on Wednesday, February 25th, at the Durst Funeral Home in Oakland, Garrett, Maryland.
