Mr. Lohr was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Dean (Lytle) Lohr; one son, Phillip Lohr and one sister, Nina Miller. Mr. Lohr was a electronic engineer for National Biomedical Research Foundation, based at Georgetown University, Washington, DC. He was a member of Selbysport United Methodist Church, Beltsville Lions Club and Woodmen Lodge #45. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 943 Second Avenue, Friendsville, on Monday, August 28, 2017, from 6-8 pm. Services will be conducted in the funeral home, Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 1:00 pm with the Rev. Theodore Bessey & Rev. Tim Bittinger officiating. Interment will be in Blooming Rose Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Selbysport United Methodist Church. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.newmanfuneralhomes.com.
