Description	:	Source: Victor Record 1/29/1931 Paul S. Kerr, son of David S. and Emily Kerr, was born May 31, 1874 at Victor, Iowa. He was graduated from the Victor public schools in 1892. He was married to Minnie B. Gwin on Nov. 17, 1897, and to this union were born two sons, David and Douglas. Mr. Kerr entered the railway mail service 35 years ago, continuing in the same until his death. Kerr, son of David S. and Emily Kerr, was born May 31, 1874 at Victor, Iowa. He was graduated from the Victor public schools in 1892. He was married to Minnie B. Gwin on Nov. 17, 1897, and to this union were born two sons, David and Douglas. Mr. Kerr entered the railway mail service 35 years ago, continuing in the same until his death. In 1911 he moved to Des Moines to become the assistant chief clerk of the railway mail service and in the 1924 was made chief clerk. While living in Victor he was a member of the Congregational church and, on moving to Des Moines, united with the North Polk Congregational church. For several months he had been in failing health and on Jan. 21, 1931, passed away. Besides his widow and two sons, he is survived by five grandchildren, five sisters, Misses Ethel and Mary Kerr of Des Moines, Mrs. Mable Sage of Huron, SD., Mrs. Flora Grant of Iroquois, SD., and Mrs. Ruth Smith of Victor; two brothers, Karl Kerr of Victor and Harvey Kerr of West Liberty. Funeral services were held Friday morning in Des Moines, the body being brought to Victor for burial, where a short Masonic service was held at the grave. Paul Kerr, though a quiet and retiring man, was greatly loved and respected by all who knew him well. He was a man of high ideals, a devoted husband and father, a loyal son and brother.
