Description	:	Mayodan- Paul Taylor Gann, 88, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. A 3 p.m. Funeral service will be held Friday February 25, 2011, at the Ray Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. G. Thomas Shelton officiating. Interment will follow at the Mayodan Municipal Cemetery. A Rockingham County native, Paul was born November 23, 1922, the son of Walter Bryan Gann and Byrdie Fulcher Gann. He was a member of Beaver Island Baptist Church. A Rockingham County native, Paul was born November 23, 1922, the son of Walter Bryan Gann and Byrdie Fulcher Gann. He was a member of Beaver Island Baptist Church. Paul retired from UNIFI and was a navy veteran. Paul liked Gospel singing. He enjoyed playing the Autoharp, Banjo, and Guitar and enjoyed going camping with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mildred Inez Joyce Gann in 1998; his brother, Rev. Cecil Gann and sister, Frances Kallam. Paul is survived by his son, Gene Taylor Gann and wife Shelia of Clemmons; three sisters, Doris Bokoski, Neva Price and husband, Calvin Hazel Gray and husband Bill all of Mayodan; brother -in-law Joe Kallam of Mayodan; three Grandchildren, Christopher Allen Gann and wife Gina of Creedmoor, Christina Allison Gann Ruehl and husband Sean of Chapel Hill and Damon Taylor Gann of Belews Creek and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Friday February 25, at Ray Funeral Home.
