Born in Hemford, Lunenburg Co., on January 6, 1943, Paulette was the eldest daughter of Milton and Muriel (Hyson) Snyder. She was employed with Maritime Tel&Tel in Bridgewater after finishing high school in New Germany, and later worked with Irises Flowers, Halifax. Read More	Saturday, December 12, 1998 SLAUNWHITE, Paulette Faye - 55, Halifax, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 10, 1998, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Hemford, Lunenburg Co., on January 6, 1943, Paulette was the eldest daughter of Milton and Muriel (Hyson) Snyder. She was employed with Maritime Tel&Tel in Bridgewater after finishing high school in New Germany, and later worked with Irises Flowers, Halifax. She was a former member of the Waegwoltic Club and Saraguay Club. She was a member of Bethany United Church. Paulette will be remembered first and foremost as being devoted to her family. She loved to be with her family and was an affectionate wife, mother and grandmother. She also had a big heart and no one, whose privilege it was to know her, is likely to forget her concern for others and the warm and glowing brightness of her friendship. Surviving are her husband, Gerald; daughter, Karen and husband Gary; grandson, Matthew and granddaughter, Sarah; daughter, Karla and husband Ronald; grandson, Tyler and granddaughter, Hailey; her sister, Sharilyn and husband Lorne, Winnipeg; brother, Frederick and wife Carol, Portage la Prairie; sister, Marjorie and husband Donald, Hemford. Paulette’s pride and joy were her daughters and grandchildren. She also loved her nieces and nephews dearly. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, December 14, in Bethany United Church, 7171 Clinton Ave., Halifax, Rev. Donald Crooks and Rev. Barry Dixon officiating. Private family committal will take place in Epworth United Church Cemetery, New Germany. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
