Description	:	Gerrit Harry and Georgianna Henrietta (Roorda) Tysseling gave birth to two daughters, Pauline Audrey on March 3, 1930 and Enid Mayme on April 10, 1933. They were raised on the farm, just east of Pella, Iowa, where Gerrit, a son of Peter and Wilhelmina (Vermeer) Tysseling, was born. Pauline attended the Plainview Country Grade School and graduated from Pella Public High School in Pella as a member of the Honor Society. She sang in the mixed chorus and was a member of the glee club and enjoyed listening to music. Pauline enjoyed growing unusual vegetables and experimenting with new flowers.... She sang in the mixed chorus and was a member of the glee club and enjoyed listening to music. Pauline enjoyed growing unusual vegetables and experimenting with new flowers. She collected wild flowers and loved to dry flowers. Pauline also was a talented artist and enjoyed doing ink and oil art work. Her gifts were also shared as a 4-H leader. Pauline was baptized on May 4, 1930, and received the solemn rite of Confirmation on March 13, 1947, at the First Reformed Church in Pella. Pauline and her family later became charter members of the Trinity Reformed Church in Pella where she sang in the choir and was affiliated with the library. On Tuesday afternoon, August 27, 2013, Pauline passed away at Jefferson Place in Pella where she had been a resident since July, 2008. Pauline attained the age of 83 years and consistent with her benevolent spirit deeded her body to the Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, Iowa for study. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Gerrit and Georgia Tysseling; her maternal grandparents, Epke A. and Johanna (Verhey) Roorda; her paternal grandparents, Peter and Wilhelmina Tysseling; and is survived by her sister, Enid Mayme Tysseling, a resident now of Fair Haven West in Pella, Iowa. Pauline was well-read and was a very religious person. Her artist’s creation of nature’s beauty can best be summarized by the following “ Why should there be ugliness and misery in the world, if it is the creation of a benevolent God?” Pauline will be remembered for gentle, yet lively spirit.
