A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of Charles and Mary Presnell Buchanan. She was the wife of Lawrence Robinson and Virgil Presnell. She was also preceded in death by brothers: W. O. Buchanan and wife, Jane, Paul and wife, Zella, Buchanan, Brown Buchanan and Mack Buchanan; and sisters: Nora Davis and husband, Charlie, and Ola Mae Sparks and husband, Roy. She was... A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of Charles and Mary Presnell Buchanan. She was the wife of Lawrence Robinson and Virgil Presnell. She was also preceded in death by brothers: W. O. Buchanan and wife, Jane, Paul and wife, Zella, Buchanan, Brown Buchanan and Mack Buchanan; and sisters: Nora Davis and husband, Charlie, and Ola Mae Sparks and husband, Roy. She was a former member of Pleasant Gap Baptist Church where she was the song leader. She was a member of Double Island Baptist Church. Pauline loved to garden, can and cook and care for her friends and neighbors. She was laid to rest beside her husband, Lawrence, in the Fred Young Cemetery at Pleasant Gap.
