Description	:	Pauline M. Panning, 104, of Napoleon and formerly of Deshler, died Sunday, November 22, 2015 at the Napoleon Lutheran Home. She was born on March 20, 1911 in Marion Township, Hamler, Ohio to the late Herman and Caroline (Witte) Meyer. On June 26, 1932 she married Henry F. Panning at Hope Lutheran Church, Hamler, Ohio. He preceded her in death in 1978. Pauline was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon, Ohio, where she was a member of its mission society and ladies guild. She enjoyed sewing blankets for Lutheran World relief, gardening in her flower... Read More	Pauline M. Panning, 104, of Napoleon and formerly of Deshler, died Sunday, November 22, 2015 at the Napoleon Lutheran Home. She was born on March 20, 1911 in Marion Township, Hamler, Ohio to the late Herman and Caroline (Witte) Meyer. On June 26, 1932 she married Henry F. Panning at Hope Lutheran Church, Hamler, Ohio. He preceded her in death in 1978. Pauline was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon, Ohio, where she was a member of its mission society and ladies guild. She enjoyed sewing blankets for Lutheran World relief, gardening in her flower beds, and leading bible study at various nursing homes. She is survived by her children, Bernadine Higbea, Defiance, Ohio, Ron (Kathleen) Panning, Columbus, Indiana, and Ruth Ann (Howard) Romaker, New Carlisle, Ohio; daughters-in-law, Ruth Panning, Deshler, Ohio, and Marge Taulker, Malinta, Ohio; 20 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by sons, Vernon and Herald Panning; granddaughter, Kristen Panning; brothers, Fred, Carl, Bill, and Ernst Lange and Paul and Martin Meyer; sisters, Erna Arps, Emma Rabe, and Sophie Sonnenberg. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 25 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon with Pastor Peter Marcis officiating. Interment to follow at Forest Hill cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 -7 p.m. at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon and one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are suggested to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Napoleon Lutheran Home, or Hospice of Henry County. Online condolences may be given at www.rodenbergerfuneralhome.com
