Description	:	Pauline T. Smith, 86, of Genoa, died Monday, June 16, 2003, at the Genoa Community Hospital. Mrs. Smith was born June 29, 1916, to Joseph and Kathryn (Mostek) Dush in Duncan. She attended St. Stanislaus School in Duncan. She married Robert E. Smith on Sept. 1, 1939, in Duncan. They lived in California where they were involved with family business. Read More	Pauline T. Smith, 86, of Genoa, died Monday, June 16, 2003, at the Genoa Community Hospital. Mrs. Smith was born June 29, 1916, to Joseph and Kathryn (Mostek) Dush in Duncan. She attended St. Stanislaus School in Duncan. She married Robert E. Smith on Sept. 1, 1939, in Duncan. They lived in California where they were involved with family business. In 1950, they moved to the dairy farm near Silver Creek where she lived until moving to Heritage House in Columbus in 1996. In 1997, she moved to Genoa Long Term Care. She was a member of the church, the Altar Society, the Omaha Archdiocese Catholic Women, A.P.C., the Rural Southwest Deanery, where she had served as legislative chairman, Pro-Life Chairman, past Scotus School Board member, 4-H and Extension Service volunteer and was a past recipient of the Ak-Sar-Ben Good Neighbor Award. Survivors include five sons, Howard (Mary) Smith and Jim (Barb) Smith, both of Columbus, Earl (Charlotte) Smith of Oklahoma City, Charles (Marian) Smith of Genoa and Paul (Nancy) Smith of Faith, S.D.; a daughter, Kathy (Ron) Walton of Omaha; 17 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; an infant son; four brothers, Alexyz Dush, Aloys Dush, Ben Dush and Steve Dush; four sisters, Barbara Konwinski, Valeria Miller, Emily Pimper and Clara Osantowski; and an infant grandson. Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Silver Creek with the Rev. Joseph A. Miksch officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today with a vigil at 7 p.m. and 9:30 a.m. until service time Thursday, all at the church. Contributor: Mrs Voggetzer (49017948)
