Description	:	Pearl 'Pearlie' Clyde Beaver was the son of Lewis S. Beaver and Mary Elizabeth GODFREY. He was born on March 10, 1885 in Marion County, Iowa and died on September 1, 1900 in Durham, Marion County, Iowa at the home of his grandfather, Henry M. Beaver (per Pearlie's obit). Pearlie died at the age of 16 years, 5 months and 22 days. Read More	Pearl 'Pearlie' Clyde Beaver was the son of Lewis S. Beaver and Mary Elizabeth GODFREY. He was born on March 10, 1885 in Marion County, Iowa and died on September 1, 1900 in Durham, Marion County, Iowa at the home of his grandfather, Henry M. Beaver (per Pearlie's obit). Pearlie died at the age of 16 years, 5 months and 22 days. According to census records, it appears that he was the only child of Lewis and Mary (cannot find the 1900 census for them, but the 1910 census indicates that Mary was the mother of one child with zero children living). However, in approximately 1909 Lewis and Mary did take in an orphaned boy by the name of Clyde Eugene Perham (who later legally changed his surname to Beaver in 1923). According to Pearlie's obit, which was found on another tree on Ancestry.com, he had been an invalid most of his short life with the last two years of his life being 'sorely afflicted'. His obit indicated that he always looked on the bright side and had put his trust in the Savior and that Pearlie died a 'faithful, earnest Christian boy." Pearlie had told his parents that he had no fear of death. He had been living (with his parents??) in Missouri, but wanted to return home to Iowa so his parents took him by train from Missouri to Iowa. He was then taken by buggy to the home of his grandfather Beaver in Tracy. According to his obituary, "... after a pathetic farewell from his friends in Missouri. He reached his grandfather's house just a few minutes before his departure to his home eternal." Funeral services were conducted at the Salem Church by the Rev. S.
