Pearl Ellen Beck, daughter of Daniel H. and Mary Ann Baylor Beck was born Oct. 13, 1880 on a farm near Kalona, Johnson county and died June 9 at Marengo Memorial Hospital. She was married to Frank P. Von Draska on June 29, 1899, at Lone Tree and they had three children. Her parents, two sisters, two brothers, one son and her husband preceded her in death. The family moved to Victor from Lone Tree in 1915. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America. Surviving are one son, Daryl, Los Angeles; a daughter, Ardis, Victor; two grandchildren; a brother George Beck, Lone Tree, and two sisters, Alice Mahaffey and Nellie Huff, Victor. Music at the service was by Hollis Fish accompanied by Mrs. Ruth Ocheltree. Flowers were cared for by Mrs. Loraine Irwin, Mrs. Mary Van Hammee, Mrs. Marie Blomme and Mrs. Irene Stowell. Pallbearers were H. L. Schrader, Joe Safken, Vic Van Hammee, William Nowotny, Mike Irwin and Louis Koehn.
