Description	:	Pearl Estell Woodside, daughter of Andrew and Margaret Woodside, was born November 15, 1884, at Hubbell, Neb., and died May 23, 1951, at Belleville hospital at the age of 66 years, 5 months and 8 days. At the age of four, she moved with her parents and brother to California where she lived eight years. She then returned to Republic county (sic) where she resided with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Lugenbeel, and later worked out in different homes in the community. Read More	Pearl Estell Woodside, daughter of Andrew and Margaret Woodside, was born November 15, 1884, at Hubbell, Neb., and died May 23, 1951, at Belleville hospital at the age of 66 years, 5 months and 8 days. At the age of four, she moved with her parents and brother to California where she lived eight years. She then returned to Republic county (sic) where she resided with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Lugenbeel, and later worked out in different homes in the community. While attending school in Belleville she made her home with an aunt, Mrs. L.C. Shaw. On March 16, 1904, she was united in marriage to William A. Carpenter. They made their home in the Ida community for 44 years, later moving to Fairview township. In the late 1920's they adopted two children, Melvin and Emma. She with her husband and two children joined the Methodist church (sic) in Hubbell, Neb., and attended the services for many years. Mrs. Carpenter lived a Christian life, was a kind and loving mother and a good and faithful neighbor. She loved children and several made their home with Mr. and Mrs. Carpenter. She is survived by her husband, William A. Carpenter of Belleville, a son, Melvin, and a daughter, Mrs. Almon D. Adams of Beatrice, Neb., four grandsons, Dwight, Gary, Robert and Doyle Adams of Beatrice, Neb.; a brother, E.E. Woodside of Sacramento, Cal., and a step-brother, Leslie Hill of Fresno, Cal.; a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Services were held in Munden Methodist church (sic) at 2:30 o'clock Saturday, May 26, by the Rev. J. Holland Vernon. Burial was in Ida cemetery (sic) near Munden.
