Description	:	At 7 o'clock Tuesday morning, Nov. 5th, at the Eleanor Moore hospital occurred the death of Mrs. Pearl Fyock, of Mineral Ridge. She had suffered for some time with a complication of diseases and had been brought to the hospital here for treatment. The remains were taken to the Mann Bros. undertaking parlors and prepared for burial and the funeral services were held from the Baptist church in Mineral Ridge at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon and the remains laid to rest in the cemetery at that place. Pearl Bass was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bass, well known pioneer residents of the county. She was born June 11, 1881, and was 26 years, 4 months and 24 days old at the time of her death. She leaves her husband, Daniel Fyock, and five small children to mourn the sad and untimely death of a loving and devoted wife and mother and to whom is extended the sincere sympathy of a wide circle of friends. Boone County Democrat November 8, 1907 Boone County Democrat November 15, 1907 Pearl Mae Bass, eldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Bass, was born June 11, 1881, in Fremont county, Iowa, and died November 5, 1907, in Boone, aged 26 years, 4 months and 24 days. She is survived by her father and four bothers and three sisters. She was married to Daniel Fyock December 22, 1899. To this union was born six children, Belva, the eldest, preceded her mother to the better land two years ago last February. The other five children survive their mother, the youngest being but three months of age. Her funeral was held from the Baptist church at Mineral Ridge Wednesday at 2:00 o'clock, Rev. Tingley, of Boone, conducting the services. Burial in Mineral Ridge cemetery. Pearl was sick for quite a while and though her sufferings were quite intense she bore them with patience. She had a cheerful disposition and a kind word for all. Her life was like the flowers that bloom in the morning but ere the night has come the frosts and chilly winds had blighted them. This so hard to give up one so young, but we know she has crossed the river and is waiting at the pearly gates with beckoning hands and though our hearts are torn and bleeding and we cannot understand, we know that He doeth all things well, and it will be but a short time until we will have to follow the path that she has gone. The Master has called his own. The family chain has been broken on earth to be united in that beautiful home called heaven.
