(Lundy) Dunkerson on September 21, 1918 in Fontanelle, Iowa and passed away at her home in Stuart on June 15, 1993. ..She attended country school in Adair County. ..Her mother passed away when she was 12 years of age, leaving her to live alone with her dad. She loved music and together with her dad they played for old-time dances and entered amateur contests on KMA radio in Shenandoah. Many were amazed to hear her sing and yodel. Through the years she continued... Read More	Stuart Herald PEARLENE KINNEY ..Pearlene, the youngest of twelve children was born to Marcus Allen and Fannie E. (Lundy) Dunkerson on September 21, 1918 in Fontanelle, Iowa and passed away at her home in Stuart on June 15, 1993. ..She attended country school in Adair County. ..Her mother passed away when she was 12 years of age, leaving her to live alone with her dad. She loved music and together with her dad they played for old-time dances and entered amateur contests on KMA radio in Shenandoah. Many were amazed to hear her sing and yodel. Through the years she continued to play the piano and especially enjoyed playing for residents of the Community Care Center. ..On May 4, 1936 she was married to Virgil Kinney and they became the parents of two daughters. They lived on a farm near Canby until moving to another farm near Greenfield in 1950. In 1978 they retired and built a home in Stuart. ..In 1987 Virgil passed away. Others preceding her in death were her parents and eight brothers and three sisters. ..Surviving are her two daughters; Carolyn J. and her husband Floyd Sheehan of Stuart and Charlotte M. and her husband Randy Burger of Tucson, Arizona; two grandchildren, Debbie Schirm of Dexter and Douglas Jirak of Stuart; 15 (?) grandchildren and one great granddaughter. ..Polly" will always be remembered by her family and friends for her meticulous and caring ways. ..Rev. Marsha Smith officiated at the funeral service on June 19, 1993 at the Stuart-Mount Vernon United Methodist Church. Vocal music was provided by Mrs. Kathy Moon, accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Sarah Wolfe. Honorary casket bearers were Jason Schirm and Jamie Schirm. Serving as casket bearers were Jeremy Canavan, Jon Canavan, Doug Jirak, Dennis Schirm, Cub Sheehan and Rex Sheehan. Interment was in Canby Cemetery, Adair County, Iowa. ..Professional arrangements by Link Funeral Home, Stuart, Iowa. *************************
