Description	:	s/o Perley W. Thompson Sr. and Ida B. Thompson In 1957, he enlisted in the service and became an M.P. While enlisted he married the love of his life Rosalie M. (Lewis) Thompson. He was honorably discharged in 1963. His hard work ethic began as a child on his father’s farm. He then worked in the logging industry for many years. Perley always said he would be out of the logging business by the time he turned 40, and he did. In 1972, he became self-employed doing lawn care, plowing and septic pumping with his son, until his retirement in 2016. In his youthful days, he could be found playing baseball with local teams where he excelled at whatever position he played. He had tried out for a major baseball team, where we would like to think it was the Red Sox, but rumor has it, it was for Pittsburgh. He had a passion for wood working. He loved building bird houses, jewelry boxes and his creativity didn’t end there. Spending time with family and watching grandchildren’s sporting events meant the world to him. Up until his death, he enjoyed following Fryeburg Academy football, baseball, basketball and softball teams. Early mornings, you could find him sitting on Main Street in his Mustang, enjoying his coffee, reading the paper and watching the traffic go by. He loved decorating the Mustang up as a Mustang horse and entered it into the Fourth of July and Fryeburg Fair parades. He is survived by three sons and a daughter. He was predeceased by his wife, Rosalie; brothers, Ralph D. Thompson and Robert K. Thompson; sisters, Carolyn G. Small, Alice B. Eastman, Pauline B. Morey and Beverly H. Thompson. Interment at Pine Grove Cemetery in Fryeburg. Conway Daily Sun, Oct. 10, 2019
