Description	:	Perry Adams Private funeral services, which was Perry's wishes as he wanted his relatives and friends to remember him as he was before his illness, were held for the immedicate family, on Saturday, Nov, 5, 1977 at 10 a.m. at teh United Methodist Church at Verdigre, with Rev. Robert L. Hopkiss officiating Burial was in teh Enterprise Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons Scott Adams, Ross Adams, Ronald Walton, Darrell Walton, Dwight Walton, Gary Johnson, and Gregory Johnson. Perry Oliver Adams was born to Joel Winifred Scott and Martha Fee on November 2, 1891, in a sod house in Venus and passed away at Alpine Villiage in Verdigre, Thursday November 3, 1977 at age 86 years and one day. Perry's father homesteaded onthe land of the Adams farm when Perry was two years old. Here Perry grew up on the land he loved. Perry attended the University of Nebraska, College of Agriculture at Lincoln, graduating in 1914 with a commission of Colonel from military training. On February 7, 1917 he was united in marriage to Frances Isabella Stoltenberg at Dodge County, Pleasant Valley, Nebraska. They lived on the Adams farm for 34 years then moving to Creighton in 1957, and in October of 1976 became a resident of Alpine Village. Perry was a member of the United Methodist Church, and being a lover of land belonged to many organizations. He was a 50 year member and past Master of the Masonic Lodge at Creighton. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Francis; son Perry of Mitchell, Nebraska; daughters Mrs. Harvey E. (Esther) Johnson, of Holstein, Ia, and Mrs. Bruce (Dorothy) Walton of Verdigre; 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; one half sister, Mrs. Sydney (Ruth Wilcox) Harris of Hot Springs, Ark; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; on daughter, Maria; seven sisters: Martha (Ella) Brookhouser, Lottie (Bell) Walto The Creighton New Nov. 10, 1977
