Read More	Died at his home in Eureka, Friday morning, May 10, 1912, Peter Edgar Hull, aged 61 years 11 months 5 days. Mr. Hull had been seriously ill for several weeks and while his death was not unexpected, the news of his passing cast a gloom over the entire community where he had been a familiar figure for so many years. Peter Edgar Hull was born in McDowell, Va., June 5, 1850. Here he lived until he came west, first to Illinois, then to Missouri and on to Kansas in 1872. After living here six years he returned to Virginia where he was married on March 4, 1879 to Miss Mary Trimble. Immediately after their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Hull came to Greenwood county where they haave lived for thirty-four years, the first five years being spent on a farm in Salem township. For thwety-six years on the beautiful Hull farm southeast of Eureka was their home until three years, when Mr. Hull's failing health compelled thenm to move to Eureka. Since then Mr. Hull had spent much time in Hot Springs, Ark., Battle Creek, Mich., and with Mayer Bros., Rochester, Minn., in search of health, but all that human skill could accomplish did but delay the inevitable. Mr. Hull's death adds another to the list of prominent men of Eureka who have passed away within the last year--men of whom the community had need, and by those death every one feels a personal loss. Beside his farming operations Mr. Hull had dealt extensively in cattle and had also been identified with the Eureka Bank as director for many years. In a quiet unassuming way, Mr. Hull was a man of sound judgement and his energy and business integrity made him successful in the management of his affairs. He was a man of close friendships and no personal sacrifice was too great when a friend was in need. To this, many who followed him on last Sunday to his last resting place can attest. He leaves a wife, Mrs. Mary Hull and two children, Mrs. C.E. Bennett of Oklahoma City, and P.L. Hull of Eureka, to mourn the loss of a brother and father---also a brother, F.H. Hull, of Eureka. The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the Congregational Church of which Mr. Hull had been a member for seventeen years. The large attendence and the beautiful floral offerings showed the love and esteem in which Mr. Hull was held. Services were conducted by Rev. H.O. Judd. The pall bearers were P.H. Landergin and John Landergin of Wichita, M.G. Verner of Kansas City, W.S. Trigg, H.D.Tucker, John Bryden, H.A. Dales and O.G. Gregg. Interment was made in Greenwood Cemetery.
