Description	:	THE LATE PETER FERGUSON Peter Ferguson was born December 8, 1840, near Thorntown, Boone Co., Ind. He died at Geneva, Neb., November 27, 1913, aged 73 year, 11 months and 19days. Mr. Ferguson was married to Eliza Ann Beasley July 2, 1861. To this union were born four sons and eight daughters, one daughter dying at the age of eight years. Mr. Ferguson was married to Eliza Ann Beasley July 2, 1861. To this union were born four sons and eight daughters, one daughter dying at the age of eight years. Mr. Ferguson was the last of his father's family. Mr. Fergusom moved from Indiana to Nebraska City in 1864, and in the fall of that year he took a homestead near the town of Syracuse, where he continued to reside until he came to Geneva to make his home about twelve years. ago. He is survived by his aged wife, and the following children: E.E. Ferguson, Mrs. F.C. Dawson, Orlando Ferguson; Noah D. Ferguson, Mrs. Charles Whited, Mrs. Riley N. Thomas, Mrs. Walter M. Reynolds, Mrs. C.F. Kirst, Mrs. William Renico, Mrs. Dora Frost, and R.F. Ferguson. All were present at the funeral except Noah, who could not be reached by telegraph at his home in Canada. Other relatives also attended the funeral. Mr. Ferguson was a member of the Geneva Congregational church. The funeral took place from the residence at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon and was conducted by the former pastor of the Geneva church, Rev. Thomas Griffiths of Edgar. The interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The attendance at the funeral was very large in spite of the rainy weather and muddy roads. The Nebraska Signal December 4th, 1913 page 1.
