Description	:	BRUNSWICK--Funeral services for Peter F. Brauer were held Friday, July 11 at 2 p.m. at the Brunswick Community Church with the Rev. Richard J. Easterday officiating. Interment was in the Brunswick cemetery. Peter Frederick Brauer, son of Thomas and Gretje Brauer, was born Dec. 4, 1886 at Mt. Olive, Ill. He died in the Plainview hospital early Tuesday morning, July 8 at the age of 63 years. Interment was in the Brunswick cemetery. Peter Frederick Brauer, son of Thomas and Gretje Brauer, was born Dec. 4, 1886 at Mt. Olive, Ill. He died in the Plainview hospital early Tuesday morning, July 8 at the age of 63 years. His father died when he was a lad of five years, his mother passed three years later, leaving him an orphan at the age of eight years. He grew to early manhood in Illinois, living in the home of relatives. During this time he was confirmed in the Lutheran church. On May 28, 1917, he was united in marriage at LeMars, Ia. to Margaret Null. To this union, two daughters were born, Lila and Anna and one son, Paul, who passed away May 8, 1940. Shortly after their marriage, the Brauers began farming near LeMars, Ia. In March 1922, they moved to a farm near Royal, where they lived one year before moving to the farm three miles south of Brunswick, which has been their home since. Since 1941 he was a faithful member of the Community Church, when it was re-organized as an affiliate of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Churches. He was preceded in death by his son; three brothers, Cobus, Thomas and John and one sisters, Maggie Leeffler. Surviving are his wife, Margaret, daughters, Lila (Donald) Johring of O'Neill and Anna (Brown) Turner of Long Beach, Calif.; three grandchildren and one sister, Anna DeBuhr of Winner.
