Paulsen, 76 year old Onslow farmer, who died at an Anamosa hospital Sunday evening, were held Tuesday afternoon at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran church. In charge of the services were the Rev. F. H. Kehren and Rev. Herbert Graening. Burial was in the Wayne Zion cemetery. He had been ill at the Mercy hospital for 10 days prior to his death. Mr. Paulsen was born in Germany Sept. 25, 1868, the son of Bohne and Sabina Paulsen. When he was a year and a half old, he came to this country with his mother, a brother and sister. They located with relatives in Clinton county but later moved to Jones county. On Feb. 16, 1899, he was married to Katherine Bohlken. Their entire married life was spent on a farm north of Onslow until he retired a year ago. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Agnes Nissen and Mrs. Amanda Westphal, four sons, Ben, George, Minehart and Cornelius. A brother and sister, Paul Paulsen, Onslow, and Mrs. Lena Henecke, Maquoketa, also survive. Pallbearers were Milton Tobinson, Elmer Hanken, Gerke Bohlken, Paul Paulsen, Neal Paulsen and Marvin J. Holst.
