Information found in the Shenandoah Evening Sentinel, December 12, 1928 P. J. Holmberg, one of Fremont township’s pioneer farmers, was buried Thursday in the Essex Cemetery. He resided in the Fremont Community until 1900 but remained in the county until 1927 when he went to Omaha where he entered the Home for the Aged. He remained there until his death.
