Kerrigan, one of the most prominent bankers in this section of the state, were held here this morning. He died Saturday night as the result of a stroke of apoplexy suffered while waiting on a customer in the Greeley State bank seven weeks ago. Kerrigan, one of the most prominent bankers in this section of the state, were held here this morning. He died Saturday night as the result of a stroke of apoplexy suffered while waiting on a customer in the Greeley State bank seven weeks ago. The deceased was a pioneer in this part of Nebraska, having settled here more than forty years ago. He owned heavy interests in the Greeley State bank and the Brayton State bank. He was vice president of both institutions and took an active part in the management of both banks. He also owned several tracts of land in Greeley county. He was 65 years old, and is survived by his widow, two daughters and one son. The children are Mrs. J. C. Daugherty, Joseph Kerrigan and Miss Gertrude Kerrigan. His son is a young attorney and cashier of the bank at Brayton. Kerrigan is a native of Ireland and a student of Irish politics. He was recognized as a conversationalist of remarkable ability. Business houses here and at Brayton closed their doors while the funeral was held.
