Fromm, Sr. , born February 1, 1891, and Philomena Gorsche Fromm, born March 13, 1895 at Shelby. Both are buried in St. Peter's Cemetery, Defiance. Peter Jr.'s brothers and sisters are Leonard, Leo, Marie, Margaret, Edna and Virginia. In 1935 the Fromm family moved to Defiance and Peter attended St. Paul's School in Defiance. Peter Jr.'s brothers and sisters are Leonard, Leo, Marie, Margaret, Edna and Virginia. In 1935 the Fromm family moved to Defiance and Peter attended St. Paul's School in Defiance. On November 16, 1959, at St. Joseph's Church in Earling, Peter married Theresa Kaufman. Theresa was born December 3, 1931. She is the daughter of Henry Kaufman, born August 17, 1882, and Cecelia Mueller Kaufman, born August 4, 1892. Both were born in Shelby County. Theresa's nine brothers and sisters are: Joe (deceased), Frank, Mary, Helen, Henry, Genevieve, Peggy, Mike and Louis (deceased). Peter and family live on the farm just west of Defiance that his parents farmed. This area was originally the first town of Defiance (then called Willow Creek) before the town was moved to its present site, closer to the railroad. Peter and Theresa have three children: John, Pete III, and Mary Beth.
