Description	:	Peter Joseph Soson owned 80 acres of land in section 34 of Delaware twp, Defiance County, Ohio, It is the south-easternmost portion of that section bounded to the south by the Paulding County Line and on the east by section 35 of said twp. A map showing this land and denoting "P.J. Seasons" as its owner is in the 1876 Defiance county atlas and his neighbor is J. Schortgen his son-in-law (his adjoining 40-acre plot was part of P.J. He gave it to Mary Barbara and it is here that Peter Sylvester and Mary Barbara Jacob would live when they lived in Defiance. Jacques Joseph Jacob's son Peter Jacob, Married Theophilus (Josephine) Sosol (Sosong, Sosson, Susang) in Seneca County in 1860, shortly after that in 1867 they moved to Defiance, Ohio near Josephine's Parents Peter Joseph Sosol And Octaus (Kleker Kloeker). Record of death from St. Stephen's death records, The Bend, Defiance, Ohio it states that Joseph Sosong died March 3, 1897, and was buried on March 6, 1897. It further states that he was 88 years, 5 months, and 25 days old and had been on visitation by the priest from Jan 1, 1897 A handwritten note written by Barbara "Jennie " (Burns) Jacob, reads "Sweet sleep, Grandpa died Ash Wednesday March 3 at 13-'3 p.m. was buried age 88 years 3 months 3 days" - along with this note was this poem written by Jennie and Gertrude Jacob, It's title is LAID TO REST - As pure as the lily that lay on his breast - Was our dear grandpa when he went to rest - Oh! how we missed him when he was taken away - and how often we think of him each livelong day - when we look at his vacant chair and think how we saw him resting there - but nevermore will we see his sylvester hair resting on his old armchair - But God knows best for he has called him home to rest.
