Description	:	Grandfather Kruse Dies Suddenly Grandfather Kruse passed away at the home of his son in this city on Sunday morning, at the age of 88 years, having died suddenly from old age. Peter Kruse was born in Holstein, Germany on July 12, 1832. At the age of 19, he came to America and temporarily located at Rock Island, Iowa, where he was engaged in the grain business. Read More	Grandfather Kruse Dies Suddenly Grandfather Kruse passed away at the home of his son in this city on Sunday morning, at the age of 88 years, having died suddenly from old age. Peter Kruse was born in Holstein, Germany on July 12, 1832. At the age of 19, he came to America and temporarily located at Rock Island, Iowa, where he was engaged in the grain business. He was married to Miss Abel Klindt in 1860 and to this union two children were born, Tina, who died in infancy, and a son, James. In 1882 he moved to Nebraska and settled on a farm east of Creighton on which place his wife was called to rest on February 28, 1897. Since then he has been making his home with his son. He leaves to mourn a son, James, two granddaughters and six great grandchildren, all of Creighton. Peter Kruse was a man, who possessed many friends. He was modest and retiring in his disposition, making a fine citizen and loyal friend. His kindly face and splendid personality will long be missed by those who knew him and all who came in personal contact with him will love his memory and honor his name. Funeral services were held form the J.G. Kruse home on Tuesday morning at 10:30, conducted by Rev. J.A. Hutchins of the M.E. church. Interment was made in the Creighton cemetery.
