He died in a Sioux City hospital. Nissen's death was due to complications following the accident. He suffered a broken pelvis, a broken back, internal injuries and numerous cuts and bruises about the body. The body was sent to Wayne Friday night by Perasso Bros. funeral home for burial. The search for the driver of the hit and run truck continued Friday with the combined forces of Dakota county authorities and Sioux City police. Chief Sheets said that the death of Nissen constitutes manslaughter and that it carries a sentence of 1 to 10 years in prison. Survivors of Mr. Nissen include his widow, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. P. Nissen, of Stanton, Neb., six brothers, William, of Stanton; Waltmier, of Dixon, Neb.; Edward, of Pilger, Neb.; Charles, of Stanton and Lawrence and Lee, of Wayne, Neb.
