Description	:	Hampton. Peter O. Guldberg, of Latimer, died at his home in that city from injuries received in an accident one week previous. He was operating a threshing outfit on the W. F. Harriman farm. In some manner he got his right hand caught in one of the chain belts. A physician was immediately called and attended to the injuries, but blood poison set in and his arm was amputated below the elbow, and later it was taken off just below the shoulder, but it was more than his vitality could stand. Guldberg, of this place, while operating a threshing machine recently, proved fatal, despite the best efforts of six physicians. Mr. Guldberg got his hand caught In the machinery of the swing stacker and it was badly mashed. The hand was amputated but blood poisoning had set in and it was later necessary to remove the entire arm, the operation. being performed by burning the arm off with red hot soldering Irons. Mr. Guldberg rallied nicely but the efforts of the physicians to eradicate the poison from his system were unavailing. Mr. Guldberg Is survived by a wife and ten children, an of the latter being under 13 years of age. The funeral was held Wednesday and was attended by a very large number of people, attesting to the high regard In which Mr. Guldberg was held In the community.
