Description	:	Peter Youmans, a son of Ezekiel and Mary Yeomans, was born in New Jersey, probably in Sussex Co. He migrated to Morgan Twp. of Butler Co., OH by 1812 with his wife, Sarah (Perrigo) Youmans and a sizable family, settling on Paddy's Run, near the village of Okeana. Mr. Youmans was a lay minster during the formation of the Methodist church in that area, reportedly holding worship services in his residence, one mile northwest of Shandon, for many years before a church building was erected.
