Description	:	Peyton was the son of Peyton and Lucretia (Buckman) Beckett. In 1872, Peyton's mother remarried to William Musselman in Mills county, Iowa. They lived there and his stepfather ran a saloon. Peyton married Mary Alice Jones on 24 Dec 1888 in Pottawattamie county, Iowa. They moved to Omaha, NE and Peyton worked as a watchman for J.A. Wakefield in 1892, soon after he opened a saloon located at 4200 S 13th St. Peyton and Mary had two daughters, Goldie Mae McCarty Smith (died 1968 in Texas, was cremated but might be buried in Los Angeles CA), and Sylvia J.
