Active pallbearers were Thorvald Krone, Hans Omdahl, Joe Bare, John Lende, Peter Terland and Sid Fraser. Emry Jones, Jack Crane, Theo. Thompson Fred Swift, Carl Bue, Oisten Bue, Dr. D. Claiborn, and Henry Hammersmark were honorary pallbearers. Military rites were conducted by Sweet Grass American Legion post with Carl Mosness, E. P. Nelson, Herb McCauley, Bryon Manley, Lawrence Vaughn, Virgil Gust, John Heurion, and Ray Bieber composing the firing squad. color Bearers were Hilmar Cook, Js. Schneider, Harry Coster, and Joe Monroe. Francis Ferris was burglar. Interment was in Mountain View. Mr. Krone was born in Sogndal, Norway, September 2, 1892. He came to Montana in the spring of 1910 and worked on different ranches until 1914 when he took out a homestead on Bridger creek and resided there until 1930. He served in the United States Army from July 1918 to December 1919. In 1930 he purchased the John Barstad ranch on the Yellowstone where he made his home until last spring when he moved to Big Timber. He was married in Big Timber on July 15, 1925, to Nora Elgen, and to them were born three children, two of whom besides his widow survive. They are Gladys and Harold Krone.
