Combs, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Combs, of Beaver Dam township, who had been reported as killed in action in Germany. He had previously been reported as missing. Pvt. Combs, who was 21 years old, went into service in November, 1943 and had been overseas for three months. He is survived by his widow, the former Louise Presnell, who resides with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Link Presnell. The parents and a number of brothers and sisters also survive.
