Grant of Brooks, son of Mr. & Mrs. Percy Grant was a Private First Class in the Air Corps. He received his basic training in Savannah,GA, and was later sent overseas. He participated in the battle of Corrigidor and has not been heard from since. He has been assumed dead by the War Dept. His father has been presented with the Purple Heart & Citation of... Grant Memorial Gymnasium in Brooks was named for Robert. Thanks to Russ Pickett for the following: Robert died at the Japanese POW Camp 4, O'Donnel, Tarlac, Luzon, Philippines on May 27, 1942. He was captured as a prisoner on May 7, 1942.
