Wade, 49, of Cedar Rapids, former Ryan resident died of a heart attack at his home on Monday, February 8, 1971 He was a city bus driver and has resided in Cedar Rapids for 18 years. He was born November 25, 1921 at Neilsville, Wis., the son of Fred and Etta Robinson Wade. Mr. Wade was a veteran of World War II, serving in Co. L 136th Infantry, in the Philipines and Japan. He received medical treatment for six months at Fitzsimmons Hospital in Denver before his discharge. He was a member of Disabled Veterans, a member of the York Rite in Cedar Rapids, a past master of Fidelitas Lodge, A.F. & A.M. at Fairfax, a member and past patron of Fairest Chapter, No.382 Order of Eastern Star at Fairfax and a member of Asbury United Methodist church in Cedar Rapids. He is survived by his wife, the former Lois Topping of Manchester; a daughter, Gail and a son Gary, at home; a sister, Mrs (Iva) Swindle of Ryan and three brothers, Glen Wade of Manchester, Wilbur Wade of Ryan and Marlyn Wade of Cedar Rapids. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Wayne Wade who lost his life at Salerno during World War II and Leland; two sisters, Mrs Wilbur (Muriel) Falconer and Vivian, who died in infancy. Funeral services were held at 11:00 o'clock Friday at theBrosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids with the Rev. Charles Mehaffey, of Asbury United Methodist church officiating. Burial was in Silver Creek cemetery. Masonic memorial services were at the Brosh funeral home Thursday evening. Pallbearers were: Alvin Voelker, Bill Zebuhr, Marvin Woeste, Marshall Wade, Richard and Roger Wade.
