MOORE, 57, were held in the Presbyterian church of Burlingame on Saturday afternoon, August 17, at two o'clock. In the absence of the pastor, Lawrence Almond of the Methodist church conducted the service. The music was furnished by Fred Cones and Harry Harkness, with Mrs. W. G. Beale at the organ. Mr. Moore had been in failing health for the past three years and an invalid for several months. His death at his home northwest of Burlingame on Thursday night, August 15, came as a release from his constant suffering. Pheasant Griffith MOORE, son of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Moore, was born in Northamptonshire, England, April 21, 1883. He came to America with his parents and older brother, William, when one year of age and lived near Pauline, Kans., and in the Six Mile neighborhood until 18 years ago, when he moved with his family to the farm where his death occurred. He was united in marriage ot Miss Ora CALLAHAM of Topeka on April 21, 1909. Three children were born to this union: John C., Kenneth P., and Helen Olive all of the home. He is survived by his widow, three children; his mother, Mrs. Annie B. Moore of Six Mile; a brother, William J. Moore of Burlingame; a sister, Mrs. Ruby BENHAM and a brother, Edward Moore both of Six Mile. Another sister, Mrs. Catherine MAUS, passed away in 1920 and his father in 1922. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Mr. Moore united with the Presbyterian church at Auburn while a young man, transferring his membership to the Burlingame church when he moved to this locality, and in which he was a faithful attendent when health permitted. He was a loving and devoted husband and father and was highly esteemed in the communities in which he lived. He had served as treasurer of Fairplan Grange and was a member of the school board in District No. 110 for a number of years.
