Description	:	Pheba J. Carter, residing a mile and a half east of Villisca died at her home Thursday, September 12, 1895 at 10 o’clock. Deceased was in her 61st year ad had been in failing health since last February. She was born in Adams County, Ohio, May 18, 1834 and removed to Iowa in 1865. She was married to James Sanburn, November 22, 1866 and to this union three children were born all of which are living. She was converted and joined the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Carter, residing a mile and a half east of Villisca died at her home Thursday, September 12, 1895 at 10 o’clock. Deceased was in her 61st year ad had been in failing health since last February. She was born in Adams County, Ohio, May 18, 1834 and removed to Iowa in 1865. She was married to James Sanburn, November 22, 1866 and to this union three children were born all of which are living. She was converted and joined the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Her husband preceded her to the great beyond not quite six months ago. The death of Mrs. Sanburn has cast a sadness over the community in which she so long resided. In her death the children has lost a mother whose advised always directed their life of righteousness. Funeral services were conducted at the M. E. Church, Friday at 11 o’clock. The remains were taken to rest in the Villisca Cemetery followed by a large concourse of friends and neighbors.
