Description	:	Philip was the s/o John Philip Manson and Sarah Elizabeth Watson. "The funeral of Philip Manson, of Cedar Hill, who fell dead at Amanda Friday, will be held in the Brick church at Cedar Hill Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Weltmer. The remains will be interred beside his wife in Amanda township cemetery. Mrs. Manson's funeral was held just last Sunday afternoon at the same place and was conducted by the same minister. Her death resulted from typhoid fever. Mr. Manson was about 45 years of age and leaves eight children. Two are married and six lived with their parents.... The deceased was subject to attacks of heart trouble and this condition together with the worry over the death of his wife, was the cause of his sudden death. Mr. Manson was well known throughout the country as a builder of cement troughs on which he had a patent. He was negotiating for the sale of his farm and would likely have sold it had he lived another week."
