Read More	Philip W. "Buster" Sacquety was born Feb. 10, 1914, in Ida County, the son of Phillip and Ida (Fuester) Sacquety, and died Nov. 17, 1999. Burial was in the Ida Grove Cemetery, Ida County, Iowa. He attended Blaine #9 country School, Ida County, Iowa, usually called the Sacquety school; then attended Ida Grove High School where he participated in football and track, graduating in 1932. He assisted with the family farming operation and specialized in farm custom work. He married Helen Lantz on March 9, 1940, at the Methodist parsonage in Ida Grove, Iowa. The couple made their home at the farm where Helen still lives. He loved farming and machinery and raised a small herd of Black Angus stock cows and Hampshire hogs. He later worked as a salesman and farm worker for Hultgren Implement, and was also employed by Midwest Industries and Gomaco where he traveled to trade shows and demonstrated equipment. He was a past president of the Ida County Fair Board and Rural Fire Truck Organization. He was a Past Master of Kane Lodge #377, a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Scottish Rite, Masonic Consistory, and Abu Bekr Shrine. He rode in the Cycle Corp and was a member of the T-Bone Shrine Club. Survivors include his wife, Helen, two daughters, Sharon Cranston of Cincinnati, Ohio; and Ann and her husband, Jim Holst of Ida Grove; 5 grandchildren, David Cranston of New York City, NY; Jennifer Cranston of Chicago, IL.; Philip Holst of Issaquah, WA.; and James and Elizabeth Holst of Iowa City; 4 sister-in-laws and their families, Elna Empey of Knoxville, Tn.; Vera Stewart of Walker, Ms.; Ruth Benson of Chicago, IL.; and Margie Lantz of Charter Oak, Iowa; a brother-inlaw, Glenn Walter and his family of Ida Grove; a nephew and his wife, Roger and Shirley Sacquety of Lovettsville, Va., and their sons and families; and a special niece and her husband, Janice and Dean Fick of Battle Creek, Iowa.
