Pluma Edith Turner was born in Uniontown, March 27, 1880, and was married to Joseph E. Nichols, February 16, 1898. She was a member of the South Fairview Methodist church and also belonged to the Royal Neighbors of America. Surviving her, besides her husband, are her children, Mrs. Earle Baker, Garden City, Kas., Roy Nichols and Orland Nichols of Bronson, Berniece Nichols of Kansas City, Mo., and Lieut. Dorothy Nichols, in the nurse corps in France; one sister, Mrs. Ray Beaman of Uniontown; a brother Otto Turner of Kiowa, Kas.; and a half-brother, William T. Turner of Waverly, Ill. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon, but the details are incomplete. ********************* Obituary--Mrs. J.E. Nichols The funeral of Mrs. J. E. Nichols of South Fairview will be held this afternoon at the South Fairview church, the Revs. J. E. Stickney and H. M. Sanders in charge. Pluma Edith Turner was born on March 27, 1880, and died on August 1, 1945 at the age of 65 years, 4 months and 4 days, following a lingering illness. She was married, Feb. 16, 1898 to Joseph Everett Nichols. Beside her husband she is survived by the following children: Mrs. Earle Baker, Garden City, Kans.; Roy and Orland, Bronson, Miss Berniece Nichols, Kansas City, Mo.; Lt. Dorothy Nichols, Army Nurse Corps in France. Also a sister, Mrs. Ray Beaman of Uniontown and a brother; Otto Turner, Kiowa, a half brother, Wm. T. Turner, of Waverley, Ill. Mrs. Nichols was a woman of fine Christian character, kindly disposed to everyone, devoted to her family and church, and loyal to her multitude of friends. Burial will be made in the Hatch cemetery. ********************* DEATHS--FUNERALS NICHOLS RITES Bronson -- Funeral services for Mrs. Pluma Nichols, 65, were held last Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the South Fairview Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. J. E. Stickner. Mrs. Prentis Pemberton and Mrs. D. R. Kuns sang two duets, "In the Garden" and "Jesus, Lover of My Soul." Mrs. Lee Harclerode sang a solo, "Beautiful Garden of Prayer" and the Rev. Howard Sanders sang a solo, "Going Home." Mrs. H. M. Sanders was the accompanist. Pallbearers were Roy Perry, Bert Wilson, Glenn Rogers, Pearl Pool, George Drake and Henry Cady. Interment was in the family lot in the Hatch cemetery. Out-of-town relatives included: Mrs. and Mrs. Earle Baker and daughter of Garden City; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Brown of Sublette; Miss Berniece Nichols, Miss Thora Nichols and Cpl. Lester Gibbs, all of Kansas City. ***********************
