He is survived by his son, Roy Edwards (Delores), of Eden; two sisters: Jessie Oleta Harding of Keysville, VA, and Alam Lorene Foley of Martinsville, VA; two brothers: Roy Cecil Edwards of Roanoke, VA, and Clarence Reeves Edwards of Danville, VA; two grandchildren: Kevin Edwards and Chris Edwards; five great-grandchildren: Christopher Edwards, Lance Edwards, Tyler Edwards, Matthew Edwards and Katie Wyatt; and close friend: Estelle Rohrer. The family received friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on 30 Jan 2002, at Ray Funeral Home, Madison, and all other times, at the home of Roy and Delores Edwards, 854 Warren Ave, Eden, NC. A graveside service was held at 1 p.m. on 31 Jan 2002, at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens, Eden, with the Rev. Chris Moore and the Rev. Dwight Prillaman officiating. Military rites were performed by the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stoneville VFW, P.O. Box 478, Stoneville, NC 27048.
