Description	:	Pvt. Preston Leroy "Roy" Dawson, served with Iowa's 39th Infantry during WWI. Roy was in the heated battle of the Argonne Forest, France. Though he didn't talk about the battle, one thing he did say was, that during the midst of this terrible fight, he had barely caught a glimpse of a man through all the smoke, just a few feet away from him, and he knew in all certainty that it was his brother Art.
