Haygeman of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Aberdeen officiating. Burial will be in the Hecla cemetery. Mr. Scott died Monday in Phoenix, Arizon., where the family had been making its home. The body will lie in state at the Hecla Methodist Church from 11 a.m. Friday until time of service. Relatives will have a private prayer service at the Scott home in Hecla at 1:30 p.m. Friday. Friends are invited to call at the Scott home after the services and burial. Mr. Scott was born in Hecla on Aug. 18, 1914 and had lived there his entire life. He worked with his father in the W. M. Scott Livestock Co and the Scott Grain and Seed Co. until his father's death, when he assumed operation of the business. He received a B.S. degree in business administration from the University of South Dakota in 1936. He married Edna Elson in Sioux Falls on May 29, 1939. He operated the Scott Ranch and businesses until recent illness forced his retirement. He was active in community, county and state affairs. He was a past worshipful master of Humanity Lodge No. 114 and was a member of Eastern Star, Aberdeen Scottish Rite and Yelduz Shrine. He was also an active member of Rotary Club and a lifetime member of the Hecla Methodist Church. He was also active in Boy Scout work for many years, first as a honor scout and later as an adult adviser. The Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce, YMCA are also on the list of the man organizations which he served. Survivors include his widow, his mother, Mrs. Jessie Scott, living in Hecla; and two sons, William Preston Scott, a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin and Gregory Scott, a student at Columbia University in New York. The Straub Funeral Home of Eureka is in charge of funeral arrangements. Pallbearers, all long-time family friends will be Judge Philo Hall, John Evens, Merritt Johnson and Art Wade, all of Aberdeen; John Elsing, Mansfield, and Werner Straub, Eureka. Mrs. John Evens will be the organist. -------------------------
