| Description | : | CRISFIELD BOY KILLED IN FRANCE Mrs. George Owens, of Crisfield, received notice last week that George Sterling had been killed in action in France. He is a son of Cornelius Sterling of N., and was adopted by Mrs. Owens when an infant. He was 24 years old and enlisted in Philadelphia in May 1917, being sent to Syracuse for training. He had been in France since last August. He was known in Crisfield as George Handy, that being Mrs. Owens' name when he was adopted. One brother, Claude Sterling, and a half-brother, W. J.
