IL 3rd Cavalry He deserted on 3/27/1863 Additional Information sent to me by a FAG member. Bev, this vet served from 1838 to 1858 in the regular army, he was a veteran of the Mexican war not the civil war, and you do him a great disservice by saying he was a deserter after the civil war started, he was born in about 1819 and died...
