Description	:	Mrs. Minnie Elder Minnie Elder, daughter of William and Charlotte Brown, was born near Ash Grove, Iowa, July 11, 1864, and departed this life at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clara L. Chatterton, in Ottumwa, June 22, 1950 at the age of 85 years, 11 months and 11 days. She had been in failing health for some years and bore it patiently, yet she often expressed her desire to be called home. She was united in marriage on September 4, 1884, at Bloomfield, Iowa, to William Alexander Elder, who was her constant companion until he departed this life February 26,... Read More	Mrs. Minnie Elder Minnie Elder, daughter of William and Charlotte Brown, was born near Ash Grove, Iowa, July 11, 1864, and departed this life at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clara L. Chatterton, in Ottumwa, June 22, 1950 at the age of 85 years, 11 months and 11 days. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, her parents, three brothers, four sisters and one grandson, Ralph Elder, who gave his life in the service of his country in 1944. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Belle Phillips of Yakima, Washington, Mrs. Lulu Hoffman, Los Angeles, California, Mrs. Clara Chatterton, Ottumwa, and Mrs. Irene Roberts of Tama, three sons, Riley of Unionville, Ray and Willis of Decker, Montana, 19 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Lottie Smith of Albia, Mrs. Jessie Burton of Drakesville and one brother, Charlie Brown of Ottumwa.
