Damman, a member of two pioneer Kittitas valley families and one of the earliest graduates of the Central Washington college, died at her home in Enumclaw Sunday. She had lived away from the valley for over 25 years. Her maiden name was Rachel Ford, the Fords being one of the earliest families in the valley. She was married into a pioneer family. Damman Dies in Enumclaw Mrs. Arthur J. Damman, a member of two pioneer Kittitas valley families and one of the earliest graduates of the Central Washington college, died at her home in Enumclaw Sunday. She had lived away from the valley for over 25 years. Her maiden name was Rachel Ford, the Fords being one of the earliest families in the valley. She was married into a pioneer family. The Damman district was named after her husband’s father. Mrs. Damman was graduated from the local college about 1894 and taught algebra at the Ellensburg High school. She left the valley when her husband became a creamery inspector in Vancouver, B.C. She is survived by her husband, at Enumclaw, and her daughter, Ruth Damman, who has been working in California, and a sister, Ruth Ford, of Ellensburg.
