Description	:	MRS. GEO. FARNHAM Rachel L. Farnham, nee Galbraith, wife of George S. Farnham, was born in Floyd Township, Floyd County, Iowa, July 7th, 1864. At the age of six months she moved with her parents to Marble Rock, and about two years later to Scott Township. where she resided at the time of her death. She was united in marriage to George Farnham, March 12th, 1890, at Northwood, Iowa. Farnham, nee Galbraith, wife of George S. Farnham, was born in Floyd Township, Floyd County, Iowa, July 7th, 1864. At the age of six months she moved with her parents to Marble Rock, and about two years later to Scott Township. where she resided at the time of her death. She was united in marriage to George Farnham, March 12th, 1890, at Northwood, Iowa. To this union were born born three children: Viola A. age 16 years, Hugh H., age 8 years, and an Infant son, Harry P., age five weeks. Mrs. Farnham possessed those graces in her life, goodness, gentleness, kindness, etc., that won friends of all who had the pleasure of associating with her. In the home her execcutive management foresight and anxiety for the welfare of husband and children, render her vacant chair exceptionally grievous and painful. Despite the fact that she has suffered for nearly a year with various maladies which terminated in dropsy, yet so many seem to think her death untimely, and wonder why she should be called from this earth, when there was so much for her to live for. "God knows best." Mrs. Farnham passed away August 15th, 1908, having previously sung "Home Sweet Home," and breathing a prayer "That God would lead her children in the straight and narrow way." Besides a husband, daughter, and two sons, she leaves a mother, Mrs Agnes Galbraith; two sisters, Janet Galbraith and Mrs. Wm. Dunning; and nine brothers: David, William, James, John, Andrew, Robert, Samuel, Alexander, and Hugh together with many other relathes and friends to mourn her loss. Funeral services were conducted at the house, the home of her childhood, Tuesday, August 18th, 1908; interment taking place in the Marble Rock (east side) cemetery, Revs. L. W. Inman and T.
