April 5, 1902 Scott Stapleton, through his attorneys, has brought suit for divorce from his wife, Ralley Staplton, alleging gross neglect of duty. The parties were married in Miami county in 1898 and have one child. May 5, 1902 Attorneys for Rally Stapleton have filed an answer and cross petition to the suit for divorce brought against their client by Scott Stapleton. In her answer the defendant denies that she has ever been guilty of any of the charges preferred by the plaintiff but charges willful absence on the part of her husband. She prays that his prayer for divorce be denied and that she be granted reasonable alimony for the support of herself and their one child. July 31, 1902 Scott Stapleton was granted a divorce from his wife Rally Saturday morning. The divorce was uncontested. The defendant is given custody of the child but the plaintiff may come to see it when ever he wishes to do so. The plaintiff paid the costs in the case. Married Clifford Lease, 1902 Feb 23, 1916 Suit was divorce was filed in the common pleas court Wednesday by Ralley Lease of Christiansburg against her husband Clifford Lease, whose whereabouts are unknown. They were married in May, 1903 and they lived together several months at Bradford. In the fall of 1903 he abandoned her without cause and has ever since refused to live with her or provide for her. Mrs Lease is the former wife of Scott Stapleton. They were divorced years ago and both were since remarried. Mr Stapleton now has a suit for divorce pending the court here against his second wife and now his first wife gets into court with a suit of her own.
