Description	:	Clear Lake—Ralph Lau, 81, Ventura, died at a Mason City hospital at 11:50 p.m. Sunday night following a convalescence in a Mason City nursing home. The Ward Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements which were not completed Monday afternoon. Lau had made his home with his brother, William Lau, in Ventura for many years. A. E. Rau, pastor of the U.B. Church, Ventura, officiating. Burial will be in the Ventura Cemetery. Lau was born March 19, 1881, at Ventura, the son of Charles and Johanna Lau. He lived with his parents one mile north of Ventura until 23 years ago, when he moved to town with his brother, William C. Lau. He was a rural mail carrier at Ventura, resigning about 25 years ago because of his health. He was been in poor health for several years and made his home at a convalescent home in Mason City for the past one and one-half years. Surviving are his brother, Will, Ventura, and two sisters, Mrs. Adolph Grell, Mason City; and Mrs. Emil K. Bitker, Redwood Falls, Minn.
