Description	:	Clear Lake—William C. Lau, 75, Ventura, died Thursday afternoon at a Mason City hospital after a long illness. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Ward Funeral Home. The Rev. E. M. Miller, pastor of the Evangelical U.B. Church, Ventura, will officiate. Burial will be in Ventura Cemetery. Mr. Lau was born July 16, 1883 at Ventura, the son of Charles and Johanna Lau. He attended schools there and worked as a carpenter in the area for many years. He was never married. Miller, pastor of the Evangelical U.B. Church, Ventura, will officiate. Burial will be in Ventura Cemetery. Mr. Lau was born July 16, 1883 at Ventura, the son of Charles and Johanna Lau. He attended schools there and worked as a carpenter in the area for many years. He was never married. After the death of his parents he lived for many years with his brother, Ralph Lau, who died in 1954. Mr. Lau became ill shortly afterwards and entered a Clear Lake nursing home in 1955. A sister, Mrs. Adolph Grell, also preceded him in death. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Emil (Allie) Bitker, Redwood Falls, Minn. Clayton and Lloyd Lau, Ventura, are cousins of the deceased.
